Health Science Programs
Biotechnology Research and Development
Careers in the Biotechnology Research and Development program of study involve bioscience research and development as it applies to human health. These scientists may study diseases to discover new treatments or invent medical devices used to directly assist patients or to improve the accuracy of diagnostic tests. These scientists could even be involved with crime scene investigation by working in a criminology laboratory.

Diagnostic Services
Careers in the Diagnostic Services program of study use tests and evaluations that aid in the detection, diagnosis and treatment of diseases, injuries or other physical conditions. Careers in this path might include an X-Ray technologist, Electrocardiogram Technician, Optician or someone who works in a laboratory with blood and other body fluids.

Health Informatics
Careers in the Health Informatics program of study include many different levels of health care related employment. This program of study includes health care administrators who manage health care agencies as well as those individuals who are responsible for managing all of the patient data and information, financial information, and computer applications related to health care processes and procedures.

Do you like to help people with their nutritional and promote good eating habits, do you like to work outside with plants and landscape, or are you interested in working on medical equipment? The careers in the Support Services program of study will provide you with an avenue to enter a therapeutic environment for the delivery of health care. Support Services offers a full range of career opportunities from entry level to management, including technical and professional careers.

Therapeutic Emergency Services
When you are involved in an accident, have a natural or man-made disaster or are severely ill, what health care professional do you expect to provide your care?? The careers of Emergency Medical Services fill this need.? These careers range from First Responders in many communities to Registered Nurses,Emergency Medical Technicians, Paramedics, and Physicians.?Therapeutic Emergency Services program of study will give students the tools to enter this fast paced and unique area of health care.

These careers are focused primarily on changing the health status of the patient over time. Health professionals in this program of study work directly with patients; they may provide care, treatment, counseling and health education information.
